Thailand
  -> Chiang Mai
    -> Ratchamanka Hotel

The Ratchamanka was the second hotel we stayed at in Chiang Mai. It was more of a traditional hotel, with 20+ rooms. It had a swimming pool and an elegant library and Thai art all over the grounds. We both slightly prefered the more personal touch of Baan Booloo, but this wasn't bad.

Not pictured is the Mandarin Oriental. We went there for lunch. The place is truly ridiculous. It's generally considered one of the fanciest hotels in the world, and with good reason. They've built an entire temple complex with working rice paddies and monks on the land they have, which is at least 100 acres. Rooms cost too much and it's too far from town, but it is the height of imperialist disdain and opulent luxury.
