The Meet Market

by Jill

The Meet Market is the new kid on the block but by no means the least sophisticated. Showcasing a handful of culinary artisans in the lofty modern warehouse Bluxome Street Winery which is nestled between the Design District and the ballpark. Duck in to sample Sour Flour's whole wheat sourdough bread sweetened with Inna Jam's polka raspberry or spread with Orland Farmstead Creamery's Fromage Blanc cheese. Or try one of El Sur's Empanadas Artesanales - perhaps the traditional stuffed with hand cut beef, onions, pimenton, hard boiled egg, olives and oregano. The beauty is that you can wash it all down with a glass of the house Pinot Noir or Sauvignon Blanc. Hey, it is a winery after all!

Stop Highlights

  • For a sweet delight, try one of Kika's Treats Brazilian Honey Cakes in Pure Dark Chocolate. Yum!
  • S&S brand makes a variety of delicious BBQ sauces and spice rubs. My personal favorite is the Tennessee Style BBQ Sauce which is mustard-based for a tangy and smoky flavor.

Know Before You Go: Don't expect a lot of fresh produce. This is a small affair with only a few traditional "farmers market" vendors. The market is held on the last Saturday of every month from noon to 5 p.m.
