The Fairmont Hotel
Add Stop To:
Some things are timelessly elegant like red lipstick, vintage Chanel and your grandmother's pearls. The same could be said for the Fairmont Hotel. This jewel of Nob Hill delivers on its promise of an "awe-inspiring picture of historic San Francisco." Well located, with sweeping views, the Fairmont also features well appointed rooms with Frette bed linens and modern amenities such as flat screen televisions. A perfect place for a glamourpuss to rest her or his pretty head after a long day painting the city fabulous!
Admittedly, taking public transportation to the Fairmont seems a little strange, but for the days when your limo is in the shop, I recommend you do it San Francisco style and take the California Street cable car
- Enjoy a Mai Tai at the famous Tonga Room & Hurricane Bar at the Fairmont and marvel at the retro tiki kitsch complete with an actual tropical rainstorm (reservations link recommended for weekends).
- For a truly memorable experience, follow in the footsteps of Marlene Dietrich and Prince Charles and stay in their 6000 square foot penthouse suite, complete with a stocked gourmet kitchen, a staff including a chef, masseuse and butler, and luxurious Bvlgari bath products.
Know Before You Go: Expect to pay a pretty price for glamour - advance purchase rooms start at $339.00 per night.
