SoMa StrEat Food Park

by Jill

For those of you who want to sample a plethora of offerings from of-the-moment food trucks without the hassle of scouring twitter to find locations and amenities such as protection from the elements and bathrooms, SoMa StrEat Food Park is the place for you. A permanent and stationary version of "Off the Grid," the Friday night food truck gathering at Fort Mason, SoMa StrEat Food Park plays host to a revolving cast of trucks: there's La Pastrami specializing in all things (you guessed it) pastrami, Kasa Indian Eatery, and EireTrea, the strange combo of Eritrean and Irish cuisine. There is also a fully covered heated seating area, real toilets, an ATM, large TVs showing whatever sporting event happens to be on and ... a BAR! While I love our local SF taco trucks, there aren't many that can serve you a beer with that burrito but at SoMa StreEat Food Park, you can have the best of all worlds.

Stop Highlights

  • It's hard to recommend one thing since there are so many rotating options but favorites the classic cream puff from Pacific Puffs ($3.25) and finger lickin' good ribs from Smokin' Warehouse Barbecue.
  • Not just food and booze: you'll also find mobile fashion.

Know Before You Go: Parking is limited in this neighborhood during the workweek but there are plenty of bike racks so leave the car at home!
