What's a more glamorous daytime activity than high tea at a fancy hotel? Nothing, you say? Exactly. That's why you must run, not walk, in those pretty little heels to the Garden Court at the Palace Hotel for their weekly Saturday tea service. Think smoked salmon sandwiches with caper mousse, chopped dill and caviar, scones with lemon curd and cream and earl grey tea with Bergamot oil. And that's just a small selection of what's on offer, all under the elegance of crystal chandeliers in the sumptuous Palace that lives up to its name. Need something stronger than tea at high noon? Many of their services come with champagne or sparkling wine.
- Try the Tea for Two, the traditional Garden Court Tea service for two plus a half bottle of Perrier Jouet Brut Champagne. Sophistication and Bubbly!
- For all you glamourpusses with children, the Garden Court offers a Prince and Princess Tea which comes with kid-oriented sandwiches, pastries, and a crown and scepter for the royal mini.
- NOTE: Tea is only served on Saturdays from 1:00 to 2:30 (and some special holidays) so plan accordingly. Reservations are available.
