Federal Building Skygarden

The federal building is a little bit of America in San Francisco. Designed by Thom Mayne, the building is supposed to be the greenest of all federal buildings.

In order to get in, you'll have to pass through a metal detector, take off half of your clothes and be harassed by threatening guards who seem to enjoy intimidating visitors. You may be warned not to take pictures of children while in the building, under threat of arrest. Go figure. At the same time, the mean guards seem to be aware that people might want to visit the skygarden, and there is a handout by the security checkpoint touting the building's achievements.
